Gunmen attack Federal University of Gusau ASUU Chairman’s residence, kidnap six persons

Gunmen have attacked the residence of ASUU Chairman of Federal University of Gusau, Mr Abdurrahman Adamu.
They were also said to have abducted six persons during the attack in the Damba Quarters, an outskirt of the Zamfara State capital.
According to a worker in the institution, the gunmen toojk the Chaiman’s house by the storm in the early hours of Wednesday.
They kidnapped five persons in his house and a neighbour who is also a staff of the university.
The source revealed that the ASUU chairman did not sleep in that house on Tuesday night, and so, he was not present during the attack.
Those abductees included his younger brother, a niece, a nephew, and two of his wives’ younger sisters.
The source said; “Five of them and one Abbas Umar who is his neighbour and also a staff of Bursary Department, Federal University Gusau,”
Police authorities in the state are yet to confirm the latest abductions. When contacted, the police spokesman, Muhammed Shehu said he will give details of the investigation as it comes.
