The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has urged motorists not to engage in panic buying of Premium Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol, assuring that there is an adequate supply of the product across the country.

In a statement released by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, NNPC stated that lines at filling stations have decreased in several states, including Lagos and Abuja. The company expects this trend to continue improving daily in other states.

NNPC emphasized its collaboration with relevant downstream agencies such as the Nigerian Midstream & Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), labor unions in the sector, and security operatives to address hoarding and other unwholesome practices.
