Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi has earned a degree in Business Management from Buckinghamshire New University in Wycombe, United Kingdom.

Europe-based Nigerian sports journalist Ojora Babatunde announced the achievement on social media, sharing a photograph of the Nottingham Forest striker in his graduation gown.

“Super Eagles forward, Taiwo Awoniyi, bags a degree in Business Management from Buckinghamshire New University, Wycombe,” Babatunde wrote.

He added: “Man preparing for life after football. Congratulations Big Awo.”

Awoniyi combines football with education

Awoniyi completed the degree while pursuing his professional football career, adding an academic qualification to his achievements away from the pitch.

The Nigerian international had previously revealed that he was studying Business Management alongside football and was preparing for graduation.

His achievement came shortly after fellow Super Eagles player Wilfred Ndidi completed a diploma programme in Business and Management.

Awoniyi’s academic pursuit highlights his preparation for opportunities beyond his playing career while continuing to compete at the highest level of professional football.

The striker joined Nottingham Forest from Union Berlin in 2022 after establishing himself in Germany’s Bundesliga.
