Femi Kuti to perform at 2020 Toronto Jazz Festival
Africa’s afrobeat great, Olufela Olufemi Anikulapo Kuti, popularly known as Femi Kuti, will perform at the 2020 Toronto Jazz Festival.
Femi Kuti and his band, The Positive Force, will be performing on June 23, 2020 at The Opera House.
The 57-year-old announced the performance on his Instagram page on Monday night.
He wrote,
“Toronto, catch me at the @TorontoJazzFest this summer, performing June 23 at @OperaHouseToronto. Tickets on sale now!”
The festival, known for its 10-day period, will hold from June 18 to 28.
Also on the list of performers are fast-rising Canadian Jazz vocalist, Barbra Lica, and her compatriot, Marc Jordan.
American singer, Gregory Porter, who won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2014 and 2017, will also be performing.
