Mother of Grammy award winning African singer clocks 90 (photo)
Beninese Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter and activist, Angelique Kijo has shared a touching photo of her nonagenarian mother.
The 56-year-old who in February won her third Grammy award from more than eight nominations shared the photo on Friday to commemorate the 90th birthday of her mother.
Kidjo who has been singing in more than five languages since 1982 when her career kicked off actively, had earlier shared a photo of herself in her home town, Ouidah, Republic of Benin.
“Nothing feels as good as going back to the beach of my home town of Ouidah in Benin!” She wrote.
Her fans are already are already flooding her timeline with wishes of ‘happy birthday’.
