Alaba Akinola of Ondo State completed the sprint double win when he achieved victory in the boys’ 200 metres event on Friday at the National Youth Games in Ilorin.

Akinola had returned a time of 10.69 seconds to win the 100 metres title on Tuesday.

Akinola won the 200 metres title in a time of 21.58 seconds.

Nsikak Francis of Akwa Ibom and Aderoju Waliyu of Oyo State both finished in the 200m event’s second and third positions respectively.

In the female category, Rosemary Chukwuma representing the FCT came first ahead of Delta’s Ofili Favour in second place and Esther Peter of Akwa Ibom state in third position.
