Father of 12 found dead, naked in Bayelsa brothel
A tragic incident unfolded in the Tombia-Amossoma road area of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, where the lifeless body of a man, reportedly a father of 12 children, was discovered in a brothel.
The deceased, a 40-year-old man from Delta State, whose name remains undisclosed, was found naked in one of the quarters of the brothel.
According to residents, he had left his home early in the morning to meet with a prostitute but met an untimely death instead.
Witnesses stated that the man, who was reportedly suffering from partial stroke, engaged in sexual activity before his demise. Upon discovery of his body, all the commercial sex workers had vacated the premises.
Local residents, upon learning of the tragedy, sought to identify the deceased to contact his relatives for the proper handling of his remains.
The TCommander of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria in Bayelsa State, Mr. Tolumobofa Akpoebibo Jonathan, confirmed the man’s identity, revealing him to be a father of 12 from Delta State.
The brothel where the incident occurred had previously attracted the attention of security operatives, who designated it as a red-light zone.
When contacted, Police spokesperson ASP Musa Muhammed stated that efforts were underway to gather accurate information about the incident from the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area.
He assured that further details on the cause of the incident would be provided promptly.
