Former Governor of Kano State, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, who is now a serving senator representing Kano Central at the National Assembly, lost his five-month-old daughter in Dubai on Monday, Tribune reports.

This was contained in a statement issued by the senator’s Special Adviser, Dr Sule Yau Sule, in Kano.

Sule disclosed that the baby who was hospitalised in Dubai has been buried in the Arab country.

The statement partly reads: “On a sad note, we wish to announce the death of the youngest daughter of His Excellency, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, a five-month-old baby who died today. She was already buried in Dubai where she was hospitalised.”
