UAE approves remote work Visa for employees worldwide
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday announced a new remote work visa, according to the Vice President -His Highness Sheikh Mohammed.
The V.P who also doubles as the Prime Minister of the UAE made the disclosure via his verified Twitter handle.
He noted that the remote work visa was introduced after the work-from-home policy in Dubai was widely accepted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Sheikh Mohammed, the remote work visa will enable employees worldwide to live and work in the Arab country remotely.
“During a cabinet meeting I chaired, we approved a new remote work Visa for those living or intending to live in the UAE.
“This new work visa allows employees from all over the world to live and work remotely from the UAE even if their companies are based in another country.
He also stated that this new visa allows employees to live and work in Dubai even if their companies are in another country.
“We also approved a multiple-entry tourist visa for all nationalities to strengthen the UAE’s status as a global economic capital,” he said.
