Ex-convict jailed for stealing phone in Osun
Shortly after his release from jail, 26-year-old Ismaila Sikirullahi has found his way back.
Sikirullahi was on Monday sentenced to one-year imprisonment by an Osun State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo for burglary and stealing.
Police prosecutor Kayode Adeoye said Sikirullahi broke into the shop of one Azeez Anifat and stole a purse containing one Itel mobile phone and a cash sum of N8,360.
Sikirullahi, who did not have legal representation, pleaded guilty to the two counts.
Inspector Kayode said that he was an ex-convict and just finished a jail term for a similar offence.
The Magistrate, Mr Adebayo Ajala sentenced him to one-year imprisonment without an option of fine.
