Five days into the Big Brother Naija Reality television show, Biggie, has unveiled Maria and Pere as the ‘wildcards’ in the BBNaija 2021 Shine Ya Eye Edition.
During a special Diary Session with Housemates on Thursday, Biggie asked to know if the duo will be cool with being ‘wildcards’.
Wildcards are fake housemates of the show whose only purpose is to provide entertainment and serve as pawns for Big Brother in the House.
The choice of Maria and Pere did not really come as a surprise to many though.
During the second launch of the reality show on Sunday, the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, had mooted that the two housemates contestants may turn out to be ‘wildcards.’
After days of speculations and accusations in the House, the two were finally revealed after the Diary Room session where the Housemates were invited to make their predictions.
Many viewers of the reality show also agreed that both Wildcards did a good job of blending in with the rest of the Housemates in the House.
For Maria, a former air hostess-turned-realtor, it was all about actively participating in the task at hand and ensuring that her voice is heard.
Pere, on the other hand, took a laid-back approach in the House.
His cool approach to issues, military training and easy mingling with all housemates seems to be giving him an edge.
Maria was particularly surprised to find out there was another Wildcard in the House during her conversation with Biggie in the Diary Room.
When asked if she knew who it was, she correctly guessed Pere. She was bothered that she had to lie and maintain a front with the other Housemates but she was confident she pulled it off.
Pere on the other hand was glad when he heard the revelation of another Wildcard and guessed it was either Maria or Nini.
