Eldee the Don

Nigerian artiste now based in the US Lanre Dabiri, better known as Eldee The Don, has waded into the Yahoo Boy saga which has become one of the most sensitive and controversial topics on social media.

In Eldee’s opinion, defrauding innocent people of their life savings is tantamount to destroying their lives and that of their children.

Eldee said there is no justification for engaging in fraudulent activities because these victims have done nothing to deserve such inhumane aggression.

In a Twitter thread, the rapper also disagreed with people who say ‘Yahoo’ is a form of reparation for slavery, he said terrorists also have the same logic.

Like other well-meaning Nigerians who had criticised internet fraudsters, Eldee argued that there are Nigerians who don’t have to loot, steal, or destroy anyone’s lives in order to live responsibly.

“One of the early signs of anarchy is when a society loses its moral compass. I can’t believe the percentage of Nigerians out there trying to justify fraud.

“When you defraud innocent people of their life savings, You could be destroying their lives and that of their children.

“They may leave on a different continent but they are people just like you…”

Recall that on Friday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested fast risings singers, Naira Marley, Zlatan Ibile and four others in connection with an alleged case of internet fraud and money laundering.
