Eid-El-Fitr: Imam tasks Muslims on charity, love, humility, sacrifice
The Chief Imam of Minna Central Mosque, Sheikh Ibrahim Fari on Sunday, urged Muslims in the state to make the lessons of the concluded Ramadan fasting part of their daily lives.
Fari said this during the two rakaat Eid prayers held at Minna Central Mosque.
“You have to always put into practice the lessons learned during the thirty days Ramadan fast in your daily lives, which include charity, love, humility, and sacrifice for maximum results,” he said.
The Imam also stressed the need for the faithful to always adhere to government advice on precautionary measures against Coronavirus to curtail the spread of the disease.
Also, Alhaji Nma Kolo, Special Adviser to Gov. Abubakar Bello on political matters, told newsmen that the government was doing everything possible to combat the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
Kolo reminded residents of the state that the ban on horse riding, traveling, and gatherings were still in force.
He said that the measure was to save lives as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the state has 26 COVID-19 cases.
