A Famous Church, Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has released a statement apologizing to a woman, Anyim Veronica Nnena, who was questioned by the senior pastor of the church, Pastor Paul Eneche, for saying she studied BSC Law from NOUN.

The video, which broke out on the internet yesterday, generated lots of reactions from people who said the pastor embarrassed the woman and subsequently requested for an apology from the man of God.

Checks have, however, revealed that she studied Law for ten years and graduated with a third class from NOUN.

The statement, which was shared via the church’s Instagram page, explained how the woman wasn’t confident enough to defend her testimony, which promoted the questioning from the senior pastor

The statement partly reads, “It must be pointed out here that embarrassing the testified publicly with the attendant media frenzy was never intended; whatever happened was under the spur of the moment.

“The action of the senior pastor was instead based on his and the church’s aversion to seeming mediocrity and any appearance of untruth.

“As a commission, we regret every inconvenience, hurt, and embarrassment this unfortunate scenario has caused Ms Anyim Veronica Nnnena. We remain committed to her physical welfare and spiritual growth.”
