Donald Duke back in PDP
Cross River former governor, Donald Duke, on Wednesday returned to the Peoples Democratic Party.
The statement was disclosed by Effiok Cobham, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Caretaker Committee in Cross River State.
When asked to confirm if the former governor had returned to the party, Effiok stated, “Yes, he has registered.”
According to PUNCH, the development is coming after the State Governor, Ben Ayade, dumped the PDP for the All Progressives Congress on May 20.
Recall that Duke defected from PDP to the Social Democratic Party, where he contested the 2019 presidential election.
He was a two-term governor of Cross River between 1999 and 2007.
