Distractions will make or break us- Mo Abudu
Nigerian media mogul, Mo Abudu, has taken to her verified Instagram account to share some words of wisdom with her 860,000 followers. In her recent post, she advised her fans to shun distractions in order to have a more productive day.
With a lovely photo of herself which she posted, she took to the caption section and wrote, “Good morning beautiful people. Distractions will make or break us.
“Research indicates that we spend on an average 2.1 hours per day being distracted and it takes a further 25 minutes to get back to being productive , after being distracted, that’s clocking up to three hours per day. From an average eight hour work day, that’s a lot of distraction.
She continued, “What do you find most distracting? How do you get rid of distractions? This brilliant article I came across by Tania Barney, says, IDENTIFY YOUR OWN WEAPONS OF MASS DISTRACTION. You can’t stop being distracted without knowing what distracts you. As we journey into 2021, it’s so important that no time is lost dwelling on matters that will not add value to our goals. Distractions add a fat big zero to your goals.
Abudu futher shared a major life lesson. “One major life lesson I have lived by over the years is to stay FOCUSED. It’s so easy to get distracted by the “little things” that don’t really add value to our goals.
“A good read on this subject matter is a book called “Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff” by Richard Carlson. I would like to suggest eliminating habits and people that distracts you from achieving your GOALS. Have a fab end to week 1 of the new year and spend some time this weekend planning your week 2 goals. Hugs.”
