Nigeria, which prides itself on its Owanbe parties, food, social media memes, comedians and – most importantly – its Jollof Rice, ranks a distant fifth behind Mauritius, war-torn Libya, Algeria and Morocco respectively.

Somalia, Cameroon, Gabon, South Africa and Ivory Coast are ranked 6th to 10th happiest countries in Africa respectively.
