A lady who seems to have had enough of consistent battering from her abusive boyfriend has stood up to defend herself, but the result of the confrontation was brutal.
It was gathered that the lady, after receiving some rounds of beating in the night before going to bed at her boyfriend’s home in Sapele, Delta State, decided to tie up the abusive man identified simply as Chidi before daybreak so as to tame him from continuing his assault on her the next morning.
While she was in the process of tying Chidi’s hands after tying his legs, the man woke up and went physical against his girlfriend again.
In the course of another fight that broke out after Chidi woke up, the lady reportedly broke a bottle and stabbed him with its shard in self-defense.
According to local sources, the incident occurred around 2 a.m on Friday.
The lady said she decided to tie Chidi up so that she could leave his house without being beaten again, but he woke up before she could tie his hands after already tying his legs.

Eyewitnesses say the boyfriend was subsequently rushed to the hospital, while the suspect was arrested.
In the viral footage making the rounds on social media, the lady was seen with swollen lips as she explained her side of the story.
