Nigerian pop star, Davido has begun a new challenge called the #TuleChallenge with the promise of giving the winner, N2m.

The challenge involves people mimicking a video in which the singer had posted some days back where he was heard shouting the word Tule.

Shortly after he made the announcement, the challenge jumped to the number one trending topic on Nigeria Twitter.

Although the meaning of the slang, Tule, is unknown in the context at which the pop star uses it, Davido seems to have invented the slang to shade his ‘haters’.

In the Yoruba language, the word, Tule, means lose it/loosen it. The coinage of the slang comes days after reports of his fight with Burna Boy in a club in Ghana over the weekend.

The singer is known to have popularised slangs like Shepe, E Choke, Ji Masun, among others.
