An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, on Thursday remanded two men, Johnson Olasunkanmi and Akeem Jebe, in a correctional facility for alleged murder.
The defendants, whose residential addresses were not provided, were charged with conspiracy and murder.
Magistrate Abimbola Amole-Ajimoti, who did not take the plea of the defendants, ordered the police to return the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution for legal advice.
She adjourned the case until May 8, for mention.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Philip Amusan, had told the court that the defendants committed the offences on February 24, at 7.30 p.m., at Asunni compound Agbeni, Ibadan.
He said the defendants and others at large macheted a 28-year-old man, Abiodun Apari, on the head leading to his death.
Amusan said the offences contravened sections 324 and 319 of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.
