Christmas: Give to the less-privileged,Preacher tells Christians
A Carol Service, at Firm Foundation Parish, Shasha Akure, The Reedemed Christian Church of God; Christians were obliged to use this Christmas season to remember the less-privileged by giving and showing love to them.
Deacon Mr Afeez Momoh, while speaking with the newsmen after the carol service said, Christians should learn from the birth of Jesus Christ, who was given to the world for forgiveness of sins and deliverance from bondage.
Momoh also said that, hospitality was a virtue that must be steadfastly upheld by followers of Jesus Christ.
He noted that it was through giving Christians could spread the gospel committed into their hands.
According to him, the birth of Jesus Christ is worthy of celebration.
Momoh, who earlier titled his sermon as ‘Importance of Christmas’ having read Luke, Chapter 2 verse 1 to 14, said that without Jesus Christ birth, there would be no Christian.
Similarly, Mrs Kehinde Olusola, a chorister in the church, said that Christmas activities were to renew the consecration of the Christian believers.
Olusola also said, that Christmas carol songs were peculiarities associated with the birth of Jesus Christ.
