Reports said the injured scientists, 85-year-old Wu Meirong and Wang Jinnian, 55, have been placed on hospital admission.

As reported by China News Weekly, the manager had invited the two for dinner with an intention to ask them to recommend him for admission into the Aeronautics Academy.

Wang Jinnian hesitated and argued that they had only just met him and did not know enough about his work.

A visibly angry Tao argued and tried to hit him.

His aggressive reaction made both scientists announced their plan to leave.

Tao was said to have taken his colleagues to Wang Jinnian’s flat and beat up the two scientists, according to a surveillance camera footage.
