The 40th edition of the Miss Nigeria pageant took place at the Eko Hotel Convention & Suites in Lagos on Monday night, with Chioma Obiadi, representing Anambra State, cruising home with the crown.

The undergraduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University studying geology, who represented Nigeria at the 2016 Miss Earth beauty pageant held in the Phillipines, replaced the outgoing Lessi Peter.

Many dignitaries and celebrities were at the Eko Hotels in Victoria Island in Lagos to witness the occasion.

Among whom was Nollywood actress, Ogo Okoye. The actress, who hails from Imo state, attended the event in her usual head turning outfit.
