Buhari appoints Bashir as NCWD D-G
President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) has appointed Asabe Vilita Bashir as the new Director-General of the National Center for Women Development, NCWD.
The appointment was announced by the Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen.
The new DG takes over the leadership of the NCWD on Monday, 12 April.
Ms Bashir was born in Limankara community, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
She obtained her first degree in Chemistry and Mathematics in 1988 from the University of Maiduguri and obtained PhD in Educational Philosophy.
She was elected into the Borno State House of Assembly in 1997.
