Martell ‘Kardone’ Derouen, the 34-year-old cousin of Beyonce has been shot dead in his apartment in San Antonio on Tuesday.

While conducting a routine welfare check by local police, the deceased who was signed to a Sony-affiliated record label The Orchard – was reportedly found dead at his apartment.

Quoting the San Antonia Express-News, The Mirror revealed that someone alerted the police after the 34-year-old Derouenwas not seen or heard of for several days.

The report adds that police then visited The Towers apartments at 16735 La Cantera Parkway – where the musician resided – on Tuesday afternoon and found him dead with gunshot wounds.

Known as “Kardone,” his stage name, an unconfirmed local report claimed that the deceased is the cousin of the popular music star Beyonce.

The outlet adds that police are searching for Sasha Skare, 21, who they believe is the suspect of the crime

Martell’s wife, Joia, told the local outlet: “There is no way to replace him but please help us find this girl,” Joia wrote in a statement. “She is dangerous and I do believe she will kill again. If you see her please contact the police.” [The Mirror UK]
