Katsina State is in mourning after bandits attacked the home of Sanusi Gyaza, an aide to the state governor, killing him and one of his wives.
The tragic incident occurred in the Gyaza community of Kankia Local Government Area on Friday.
The Katsina State Police Command confirmed the attack through its Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Sadiq. He told journalists, “Yes, we are aware and we are on top of the situation.”
During the attack, the bandits also abducted Gyaza’s second wife, leaving the community in deep shock and sorrow.
The incident has raised further concerns about the increasing insecurity in Katsina State, where kidnappings and killings by hoodlums have become all too common.
