Apostle Suleman, Twitter users pay tribute to Reinhard Bonnke

Nigerians on social media are paying tribute to renowned German preacher and former president of Christ for All Nationa (CfAN), Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, whose death was announced on Saturday afternoon.

WuzupNigeria reports that Bonnke, popular for his gospel missions across African nations, died on Satirday at the age of 79.

A statement on his official Facebook page said he passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family.

Reacting to his death, the Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman took to his verified Twitter page to pay tribute to the late preacher and also recount how Bonnke’s ‘radical passion for evangelism’ affected his life.

He tweeted:

“You affected me so much with your radical passion for evangelism..you finished your assignment and in your lifetime handed over to your successor..rest in peace EVANGELIST REINHARD BONNKE..may we also finish well..goodnight sir.”

The media officer of the Nigerian Super Eagles, Toyin Ibitoye also tweeted:

Bonnke’s last visit to Nigeria was in November 2017 for what he described as his ‘farewell crusade’ where he also introduced his successor, Evangelist Daniel Kolenda to Nigerians.

Other Twitter users across Africa have also taken to the microblogging site to pay tribute to the late evangelist.
