German sprinter Alica Schmidt has challenged football superstar Erling Haaland to a 400m race.

The 24-year-old Schmidt believes she can outrun the Manchester City forward over 400m but admits 200m would be tougher.

When asked if she could beat Haaland, Schmidt confidently said she’s ready anytime. “Let’s see who’s faster!” she remarked.

Nicknamed the “World’s Sexiest Athlete,” Schmidt averages 17mph in the 400m. while clocking 22.5mph last season while scoring 52 goals in 53 appearances.

Alicia previously raced and easily defeated German defender Mats Hummels in 2021. However, at 32, Hummels was much older than 23-year-old Haaland.

Nonetheless, Schmidt says she’s prepared to take on the Norwegian goal machine. “Haaland, if you’re ready to race, I would be happy. ” she boldly stated.

However, Haaland has yet to accept the public challenge.
