2016 Headies Award winner, Adekunle Gold, has penned down an emotional message to his late younger sister who passed some years ago.
In an interview with Saturday beats in 2019, Gold disclosed that his sister died of a heart disease after they spent so much on her treatment, WuzupNigeria learnt.
“My sister was one of the few best friends I had but death took her away. She had a heart-related disease and I thought she could beat the disease but she did not make it.
“We sang together a lot and we shared the same dream. I was her best friend in the house, so it really shook me when I lost her.”
“I remember her every year and reminisce about the great time we had together. I wish she was alive to celebrate my success with me because this was our dream,” he said.
In a post he shared on his Instagram page, Gold said she would have turned 26 years old on June 30, adding that he misses her dearly.
The musician shared old photos of them together while noting that he is doing what he discussed with her before her demise.
“I’m killing it, I’m doing everything we talked about, Busayo I miss you. My angel Adebusayo you would have turned 26 today! I love you forever and ever Busayo”.
