Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the DG of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, has been slammed for celebrating the eight Nigerians drafted into the NBA.

Excited about the news, Abike Dabiri-Erewa tweeted: “So so #proudlynigerian . These 8Nigerians in the USA drafted in one night to @NBA.”
The NiDCOM DG also celebrated Dr Sola Okojie who got inducted into the NASA hall of fame.
This didn’t sit well with some Nigerians who had other opinions as seen below.

Nwanyi Asaba wrote: “Always trying to reap where you did not sow. Anyway, I hope you know they are Igbo boys. Just reminding you.”

DuxQ wrote: “Kitikpa rachaa gi anya there. You cannot mention their Tribe as you used to do. If they were caught robbing people on the streets of America, you will come here to tell us the community they came from in Anambra or Imo State. They ain’t Nigerians, these guys bụ ndị Igbo.”
The Man wrote: “Most of these men u shamelessly mentioned are tall, huge, tattooed, have funny hairstyles and probably use an iPhone. If they were still in Nigeria, you and your boss may have killed them for supporting the #EndSARS.”
