A final year student of the Godfrey Okoye University, simply identified as Desmond, as reportedly committed suicide ahead of his carryover exam.
According to multiple media reports, the late Desmond hung himself in his hostel on Monday morning.
According to photos circulating on the internet his body has since been evacuated by the police.

In a viral Facebook post, one of his friends wrote;
“We the Godfrey okoye university student mourn the death of our brother DESMOND this morning.
“Rest in peace bro. Till we meet no more.”
