Two people were killed Monday night after a head-on collision in the Town of Primrose, Dane County, Wisconsin, United States
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office said the crash occurred around 5:45 p.m. after authorities received reports of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of State Highway 92 and Spring Rose Road.
Upon arrival, deputies found one vehicle completely engulfed in flames, while the second vehicle had sustained significant damage.
The driver of the damaged vehicle was found trapped inside.
A preliminary investigation determined that one of the vehicles crossed the center line before striking the other vehicle head-on.
Each vehicle had only one occupant, and both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office said the roadway remained closed for more than five hours while officials conducted their investigation.
Authorities said the names of the drivers will not be released at this time.
