The Nigerian creative industry has been plunged into mourning following the death of popular content creator and brand influencer Anda Damisa, popularly known as Lazywrita.

Reports of his death emerged on Monday after a troubling message appeared on his Instagram page, informing followers that he was no longer alive.

The post, which included a series of carefully curated photographs of the influencer, was said to have been scheduled several days before it was published.

In the extended farewell note shared on the page, Lazywrita implied that he had taken his own life after quietly dealing with emotional strain and deep exhaustion.

He described himself as “happy, unburdened and free,” noting that his regrets were missing out on new episodes of Stranger Things and not marrying the woman he loved before she moved on.

In his words, he wrote: “Don’t cry for me please o. I lived a full and adventurous life… I just don’t have the energy to continue anymore.”

The calm but conclusive tone of the message shocked many fans and colleagues who believed he was doing well.

A particularly emotional section of the post was addressed to a woman he described as the love of his life.

He urged her not to blame herself and commended her for being the best thing that had happened to him during both happy and difficult times.

Lazywrita also acknowledged several close friends and family members by name, expressing deep gratitude and love, and stating that he would choose them as family “over and over again.”

He concluded with a message encouraging them to keep living fully, adding: “I want you to LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH, MAKE BABIES and be HAPPY.”
