Nigerian rapper and actor, Falz, has addressed recent rumours about his marital status, clarifying that a series of wedding-themed photos circulating online were part of a photoshoot and not evidence of a real marriage.
The images, which sparked speculation among fans and media outlets, were initially believed to be from a traditional marriage introduction.
However, Falz later confirmed they were staged for a project and not related to any actual nuptials.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Falz responded to the public reaction with humour, suggesting that the attention might not be the same if he ever decides to tie the knot for real.
“One of the funniest things is that since the big reveal and everyone found out I’m not actually married, a lot of people have been saying this is a case of the boy who cried wolf. When I actually get married, nobody is going to care,” he said.
Falz further hinted that he might choose to keep his marriage private, challenging the assumption that public figures are obligated to share every personal milestone.
“It’s bold of you to assume that I wish for you to be in the marriage with me. It’s bold of you to assume that if I’m actually getting married, I will share it. It’s so funny,” he added.
Despite his remarks about privacy, the rapper left room for unpredictability in his future decisions.
“But you never know. I might be so in love and just feel like I want the world to know. Best of luck and stay tuned. Thanks and God bless,” he concluded.
