Nigerian actress Eniola Badmus has expressed strong disapproval over a recent social media post by an influencer who used their platform to wish death on an unnamed politician.

Reacting via her Instagram page, Badmus described the act as deeply troubling and uncalled for, emphasizing that political disagreements should never lead to inhumane behavior.

“It’s truly disheartening to see a social media influencers use their platform to wish death on anyone at all. No matter your political views, we must never let hate override our humanity. As Nigerians, we are better than this. If we want change, let it be through dialogue, truth, and unity—not violence or death wishes. Let’s choose decency over division,” she wrote.

Badmus reminded Nigerians that regardless of political affiliations, maintaining a sense of humanity and empathy should remain paramount.

Meanwhile, activist Adetoun Onajobi has responded to the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari with strong criticism, stating that there is no reason for Nigerians to mourn a leader who, in her view, failed to provide adequate healthcare within the country.

In a widely circulated video, the activist questioned why Buhari, despite repeated promises to build a world-class presidential hospital, ended up dying in a private facility abroad.

According to her, “Buhari’s administration was full of noise about building hospitals, yet he never trusted the country’s healthcare system when it mattered most.” She expressed anger over what she described as excessive spending on foreign medical trips while many Nigerians continue to suffer and die in poorly equipped public hospitals.
