Euro U-21: England to face Spain as quarter-final fixtures set

The quarter-final matches for the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship have been confirmed following the end of the group stage on Wednesday night.

The tournament, taking place in Slovakia, has seen top teams like France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Denmark, and Germany all make it through to the last eight.

In the final group games, Germany came from behind to defeat England 2-1, while Czechia beat Slovenia 2-0. These results helped finalise the line-up for the knockout round.

The quarter-final matches will take place on Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22. England will go head-to-head with Spain, while Portugal will take on the Netherlands in what is expected to be a thrilling encounter.

On Sunday, Italy will clash with Germany, and Denmark will face the French team, who are strong favourites for the title.
