There was heavy traffic on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Wednesday morning after a trailer hit a car and pushed it into a culvert.
According to the PUNCH, the accident involved a Honda EOd car and a trailer. It happened near the popular Berger bus stop area.
Eyewitnesses said the trailer suddenly rammed into the Honda, forcing it off the road and into a concrete drainage beside the expressway.
Officers from the Federal Road Safety Corps quickly arrived at the scene to control traffic and remove the damaged car.
The car was later pulled out of the culvert and placed on a towing van.
At the time of this report, no lives were lost and there were no confirmed injuries.
An eyewitness, Segun Odunayo, who shared photos from the scene, said, “The trailer just came from nowhere and hit the car. The driver of the car was lucky to survive.”
Another witness, Olabode Olalekan, added, “The car was badly damaged, but thank God nobody died.”
