Real Madrid winger, Vinicius Jr, has sent a warm message to his Brazilian teammate, Gabriel Magalhaes, after the Arsenal defender was ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury.

Gabriel picked up a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s Premier League match against Fulham on Tuesday. He went down just 16 minutes into the game and could not continue. The club later confirmed that the injury would require surgery and that he would miss the remainder of the season.

This means the centre-back will be absent when Arsenal face Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie next week.

Sharing his feelings with fans on Instagram, Gabriel wrote: “I’ll be back soon, stronger than ever. Until then, I’ll be supporting the team every step of the way.”

In response, Vinicius Jr commented with kind words of support for his fellow Brazilian.
“Get well soon my brother!” he wrote.

Gabriel has been one of Arsenal’s most important players this season, forming a solid partnership with William Saliba in defence. His absence is a big blow to the team as they prepare for a tough Champions League battle.

Fans and teammates have continued to send their best wishes to Gabriel, hoping for a speedy recovery.
