A young businesswoman in Akwa Ibom State broke down in tears after Governor Umo Eno generously supported her business with ₦5 million.

The emotional moment happened when the woman approached the governor and requested support for her dry food production business. She told the governor she produces cassava fufu powder and banana products but operates from her home because she has no shop.

During their conversation, Governor Eno asked, “And you are the one that produced these?” She confirmed that she was the producer and had brought samples of her products and her credentials.

The governor then asked how much she needed, to which she replied, “Two million naira.”

In response, Governor Eno immediately directed the Commissioner for Trade and Investment to assist her. “Take her number, go and see what she is doing. Help me set her up with equipment. When you set her up, give her ₦3 million for equipment and ₦2 million for her business,” he instructed.
