Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused in a new lawsuit of dangling fashion designer Bryana “Bana” Bongolan from a 17th-floor balcony during an altercation in 2016.

The alleged incident took place at the Los Angeles apartment of Mr. Combs’ then-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.

The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, claims that Mr. Combs entered Ms. Ventura’s apartment while Ms. Bongolan was spending the night there.

According to the suit, Mr. Combs began shouting and banging on the front door before entering the apartment, where he allegedly confronted Ms. Bongolan, who was on the balcony.

The suit alleges that Mr. Combs grabbed and molested Ms. Bongolan, lifted her, and dangled her over the balcony railing.

At the time, Ms. Bongolan reportedly weighed about 100 lbs (45.3 kg). She claims to have resisted by throwing her weight backward in an attempt to avoid being thrown to the ground but alleges that Mr. Combs overpowered her.

The lawsuit states that Ms. Ventura intervened, prompting Mr. Combs to pull Ms. Bongolan back over the ledge, slamming her onto patio furniture.

This lawsuit is the latest in a series of over two dozen legal cases against Mr. Combs.

These allegations span offenses such as sexual assault, drugging individuals, physical harm, and threatening witnesses.

He also faces federal charges for racketeering and involvement in a sex trafficking scheme.

Ms. Bongolan’s lawsuit claims the 2016 incident was part of a broader pattern of “threats, intimidation, and violence” she experienced during her professional relationship with Mr. Combs. She is seeking $10 million in damages.

Mr. Combs has categorically denied the allegations.

Speaking to the BBC, his representative said, “He firmly denies these serious allegations and remains confident they will ultimately be proven baseless.”

The statement added, “Anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence they may or may not have. In court, the truth will come to light, demonstrating that the claims against Mr. Combs are without merit.”

The claims echo incidents noted in a separate lawsuit filed in 2023 by Ms. Ventura, which alleged abuse, rape, and sex trafficking. In that lawsuit—settled a day after filing—Ms. Ventura described a similar balcony incident involving a friend.

Ms. Bongolan also alleges that her interactions with Mr. Combs, initially professional, became fraught with “terror and abuse.”

The two began working together on projects including a clothing line and album cover art.

Mr. Combs is currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, after being denied bail three times. He awaits trial on federal charges in connection to other allegations.
