President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt condolences to former Oyo State Governor, Rashidi Ladoja, following the death of his wife, Tinuade Ladoja.
In a statement on Tuesday, the President expressed his sympathy to Ladoja, his family, and all those close to Tinuade, including members of the Celestial Church of Christ, where she was an active member of the Pastor-In-Council.
Tinuade Ladoja was known for her charitable work, wise advice, and dedication to advocating for the welfare of women and children, especially in education. President Tinubu praised her selfless lifestyle and her years of service in the Celestial Church’s highest decision-making body.
The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, issued the statement on behalf of Tinubu, highlighting the late Tinuade’s life of service. “President Tinubu notes the contributions of the departed to humanity, affirming her strength in charitable works, wise counsel, and advocacy for the welfare and education of women and children,” the statement said.
President Tinubu also prayed for the repose of her soul and asked God to comfort the Ladoja family in this difficult time. “The President earnestly prays for the repose of the departed matriarch’s soul and for God’s comforting arms to strengthen the family during this difficult time.”
Rashidi Ladoja, who served as Oyo State Governor from 2003 to 2006, was recently honoured with a ceremonial beaded crown by the Olubadan and the Oyo State government.
