First lady arrives Ooni’s palace to unveil monument in Ife

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, arrived at the palace of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, for the official commissioning of a monument in the ancient town.

She arrived at the palace at 11:23 AM alongside other dignitaries.

The event included the official commissioning of ‘Senator Oluremi Tinubu Way’ and the unveiling of the Grand Pavilion and Monument at Obafemi Awolowo University, which is also the First Lady’s alma mater.

This historic occasion is part of the birthday celebration and thanksgiving for the Ooni Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife.

Many dignitaries were present to welcome the First Lady, including Osun Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi, Kafayat Oyetola, the wife of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, and Senator Jide Omoworare, the Osun Chairman of the All Progressives Congress. Traditional rulers and other notable guests were also in attendance.

Among the guests were the wife of Oyo Governor, Tamunominini Makinde, and Titilola Adeleke, the wife of the Osun Governor.
