Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has made serious accusations against fellow artist Davido after being arrested, claiming that Davido is behind his current legal troubles.

He claimed that Davido had paid people to have him arrested, alleging that they falsely accused him of being involved in Flutterwave and cryptocurrency scams to justify the arrest.
Dammy Krane compared his situation to that of the late singer Mohbad, who he believes did not receive justice before his death. He called on Nigerians to help him seek justice before it’s too late.
He tweeted, “Nigeria, I’m being arrested and oppressed for seeking justice. If @davido is allowed to bully and oppress me, people will suffer more. Because it would be power to the oppressors. But if the right thing is done, oppressors would learn.”
Dammy Krane also stated, “This is what happened to Mohbad. He didn’t have to die before people sought justice. Nigeria, please don’t fail me. Oppressor @davido has paid them to arrest me. They wrote a petition lying that I am into Flutterwave and crypto scams just to arrest me. This is how they keep using the bad cops to spoil the name of the police.”
This controversy is the latest in a long history of bad blood between the two artists. While they were once considered friends during the early stages of their careers, their relationship soured when Dammy Krane publicly accused Davido of owing him money.
Their ongoing dispute has intensified, particularly over the issue surrounding Tagbo’s death.
At one point, fellow artist Burna Boy tried to warn Dammy Krane against making murder accusations against Davido, advising him that these claims could get him into serious trouble.
However, Dammy Krane reportedly dismissed Burna Boy’s advice, accusing him of not being supportive when he needed it most.
