The Lagos State Police Command has arrested three men suspected of kidnapping in the Ikorodu area.
The arrest was confirmed by the command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Wednesday.
Hundeyin told the News Agency of Nigeria that the suspects were caught trying to kidnap a car dealer on Ebute-Igbogbo Road in Ikorodu on Tuesday.
The three men, whose ages range from 23 to 33, have been in police custody since their arrest.
He added, “Three suspects, whose ages ranged from 23 to 33, (names withheld), have been in our custody since Tuesday shortly after the incident. Efforts are on to arrest two other suspects who escaped during the raid.”
The police spokesperson also mentioned that an investigation into the kidnapping attempt has begun.
