Former Real Madrid and Liverpool star, Steve McManaman, has expressed his belief that Napoli attacker, Victor Osimhen, is currently not performing at the level expected of a £100 million player.

McManaman also shared his perspective on why he believes Osimhen is likely to move to the Premier League next season.

Amidst rumors linking Osimhen with clubs like Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, McManaman highlighted the Premier League as the most feasible destination for the Nigerian forward, considering the financial capabilities of other leagues.

In an interview with TNT Sports, McManaman stated, “His sellable value, it has to be the Premier League because Germany of course have not got the finances. The big teams in Spain have not got the finances, particularly if Real Madrid take Mbappe. The only place he can go is the Premier League and he is certainly not playing like a £100 million player and that is what they want for him.”

Osimhen has faced challenges in finding the back of the net in recent matches, including scoring just once during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and the recent 1-1 draw between Napoli and Barcelona in the Champions League at the Diego Maradona Stadium.
