Nigerian Breweries raises beer prices
From next Monday, February 19, beer drinkers in Nigeria will see an increase in prices, as the Nigerian Breweries Plc has announced an upward price change for its Stock-Keeping Units.
The decision is attributed to the rising input costs and the necessity to address the impact on the company.
A letter dated February 12, titled ‘Price Review Notification,’ from the Zonal Business Manager (West), Lekan Awosanya, explained the need for the adjustment: “This is to inform you that we are constrained to review the prices of some of our SKUs effective from Monday, 19th February 2024. This review has become necessary because of the continued rising input cost and the need to mitigate the impact.”
To show appreciation for their customers’ partnership and commitment, the letter assured that all open orders fully funded and created in the system before 00:00hrs on Monday, February 19, 2024, would be delivered at the current prices.
“While thanking you for your commitment to our great partnership, be rest assured that we will continue to support your sales/distribution efforts as always. For further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact your Regional Business Manager,” the letter concluded.
This price adjustment comes as a response to the economic realities and challenges faced by the Nigerian Breweries Plc, emphasizing the company’s commitment to maintaining transparency and providing support to its partners.
