Erik ten Hag assured that he would address Marcus Rashford’s absence following the England striker’s nonappearance in Manchester United’s 4-2 FA Cup triumph over Newport.
Rashford reported feeling unwell on Friday, purportedly after spending the prior evening at a Belfast nightclub.
Addressing Rashford’s absence, United manager Ten Hag commented, “He reported ill. The rest is an internal matter. I deal with it, we will deal with it.”
Ten Hag highlighted encountering a “no good culture” upon his arrival at United in 2022 and acknowledged facing disciplinary challenges during his tenure at Old Trafford.
Jadon Sancho, a misfit at United, recently returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan after a falling-out with the Dutchman.
When asked if Rashford’s situation echoed the “no good culture”, Ten Hag declined to delve into specifics, stating, “I don’t go in this case. We talked before about it, we played a good game, and now we move on.”
