Mbappe hails Rashford on fight against child poverty
Kylian Mbappe has hailed Marcus Rashford for his effort in fighting against child poverty in the UK.
Rashford was recently awarded the MBE after he forced the UK Government to make a U-turn in providing free food for vulnerable children in school.
Mbappe whose Paris St Germain side will clash with Rashford’s Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League said that the England International’s effort is the kind of thing footballers ought to use their position for.
“To tackle an issue as important as child poverty is one of the most important things that somebody can do.
“So I have full respect that he’s been doing that and trying to make a real change.
“I do think there is a requirement for players to use their position to make a difference in the world. We’ve been given so much and it’s important that we give back,” Mbappe said.
