Tinubu approves N18bn for fallen heroes’ families
President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday approved N18 billion for Group Life Assurance benefits and other entitlements dedicated to the families of fallen servicemen and women in the Nigerian Armed Forces.
The President announced this at the Launch of the Emblem Appeal for the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, held at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja.
Tinubu reiterated his commitment to supporting the families of those who lost their lives while serving their country.
“I have approved the sum of N18 billion for the payment of the Group Life Assurance benefits and other entitlements to the families of service members who lost their lives in the line of duty,” the President said.
In further affirming his administration’s support for the armed forces, Tinubu added, “We owe a debt of gratitude to our gallant troops, who have risen to the challenge of securing this great nation.”
