A suspected ritualist has allegedly taken the life of a 10-year-old girl in the village of Guyaba, located in the Kirfi Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

The grim discovery was made after the girl’s parents declared her missing for several days. Tragically, she was found lifeless, with some of her body parts missing, fueling concerns that her death may have been orchestrated for ritualistic purposes.

At present, the details surrounding the young girl’s murder remain shrouded in mystery.

The spokesman of the state police command, SP Ahmed Wakili, confirmed the tragic event on Sunday and stated that the Commissioner, CP Auwal Musa, has taken swift action.

He assured the public by saying, “The CP, Auwal Musa Muhammad, has directed the DPO, Kirfi Police Division, to investigate and unravel the circumstance of her death, arrest and prosecute the perpetrators of the dastardly act. So the investigation is ongoing.”

In a heartfelt show of support, the state’s First Lady, Aisha Bala Muhammad, visited the grieving parents of the young girl.

She expressed her deep sorrow at the heinous act, describing it as “barbaric and unbelievable.” She further invoked the hope of divine justice, saying, “And whoever committed this terrible act of terror, God will punish them in the same way on the Day of Resurrection.”

The First Lady called upon traditional leaders, faith-based organizations, and security agencies to unite in an effort to identify those responsible for such evil deeds within the community.
